14 Apr One Thing To Know About Your Future
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jerimiah 29:11 NIV
Many people have quoted this verse many times. Yet, no matter how much it has been said, some Believers still think that God is out to get them. Some believe that God puts them in harm’s way to “teach me a lesson.”
I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to serve a God that uses the enemy’s tools. The enemy is the one that is trying to kill, steal, and destroy, not God.
God is big and mighty. He is not limited to using the devil to teach us lessons. That doesn’t make sense.
God will not use tactics of the opposition that is trying to kill you to teach you something. God is speaking to you through His Word and directly to your heart. He uses those avenues to teach us.
When the Bible says that God knows the plans that He has for you and that those plans are to prosper us and not harm us, we can know that His plans and the His purpose for our lives will lead us forward in life.
Jerimiah says His plans are to prosper us. The King James Version uses the word “Shalom” for prosper. Shalom means completeness, health, welfare, and peace.
God’s plan for your life will COMPLETE you, not your spouse or whoever you are dating.
God’s plan for your life will bring HEALTH; no amount of exercise can compare to God’s plans.
God’s plan for your life will bring WELFARE; no amount of HARD WORK can equal His plans.
God’s plan for your life will bring PEACE; you don’t have to worry about your future.
You have a plan for your life that is made just for you. No other plan that you come up with will be better than the plan that God has for you. NOTHING ELSE will complete you, have you in health, prosper you, or bring peace like God’s plan for you.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. – 2 Peter 3:9
God is not against you; God is for you. He wants you to follow the plan that He has for you because it is the best way. He doesn’t want you to live in struggle and go from defeat to defeat. He wants you to turn from your plan to His plan.
However, to do that, you must believe that His plan is the best option out there. Today, focus on what Jerimiah is saying.
God’s plan is better, MUCH BETTER!!!
